Social Media Manager: Client Channels and Telegram Media Buying
Remote SMM role with two equal halves: running social channels and buying Telegram placements that can be measured
We are actively adding social media managers to the network
What You Will Actually Do
Two equal halves of one role: social channels you run, and Telegram placements you buy and measure.
Social media management
The channels a client already owns, run on a plan and judged on what they bring in.
- Channel strategy Which networks matter for this client and market, what each one is for, and what a realistic monthly cadence looks like
- Content calendar and posts Monthly plans, post copy, and briefs for designers and video editors, written in the voice of the brand
- Community management Comments, direct messages, moderation, and the questions that should go to the client's sales or support team
- Paid boosts with the paid social specialist Choosing which organic posts deserve budget and briefing the specialist who runs the ads
- Monthly reporting Reach, engagement, clicks, and leads per channel, with a plain recommendation for the next month
Telegram media operations
Buying reach in other people's Telegram channels and chats, step by step, so every placement can be traced to a result.
- Channel and chat research Finding channels and chats that sell advertising through catalogs, marketplaces, and public research, matched to the client brief by content language, topic, and buyer market
- Live verification Checking each candidate on current data before any inquiry: members, last post, posting cadence, views, and comments, compared with what the catalog claims
- Supplier negotiation One consolidated request per channel network instead of a message per chat, then a short test package before any long commitment
- Media plan and tracking A media plan where every output gets its own placement ID and its own tagged link, per channel and per creative variant
- Native post copy Adapting the message to the tone and theme of each chat, then taking it through client approval before anything is published
- Wave reporting Joining the publication, its reach, clicks, leads, and qualified leads, so the next wave buys only the placements that worked
Requirements
What we need from you to be effective in this role.
- Social media track record Channels you have run for brands, with numbers you can explain: what grew, what converted, and what you stopped doing
- Telegram fluency You read Telegram the way its audience does: the difference between a live chat and a dead one, a channel that sells ads and one that only reposts them
- Measurement discipline Tagged links, placement IDs, and a spreadsheet that another person can pick up without a call
- Working language Native or near-native in at least one market language, plus excellent written and spoken English, because all internal communication runs in English
- Written handoffs Every shift ends with a written note on what was decided, what changed, and what the next person must do
Nice to have
Not required, but these make you a stronger fit.
- Russian or Ukrainian Much of the Telegram advertising inventory runs in Russian and Ukrainian, including expat communities across Thailand, the UAE, Cyprus, and Turkey
- Telegram analytics tools Hands-on experience with Telegram channel catalogs, analytics services, and advertising marketplaces
- Working with AI assistants Comfort with AI tools that do bounded research and first drafts while you make the decisions and approve the final text
Why social media managers choose this over agencies and in-house roles
Four things you get here that typical social media manager jobs do not offer.
Several brands and markets, not one feed
In-house, you post for one brand in one market for years. Here the channels and placement waves change with the clients, so your range keeps growing.
Your work is measured on results
Every Telegram placement and every channel report is traced to clicks, leads, and qualified leads. Good work is visible, and it is visible in the numbers a client pays for.
A working process from day one
Research templates, a shared campaign workspace, tracking conventions, and AI tooling for the repetitive parts. You do not rebuild a media plan format for every new client.
Your share follows your work
No salary band and no anonymous agency layer. The units you deliver are billed to the client, and your 40% share is calculated on exactly those units.
How social media managers earn at Onlinuum
Pay is the same 40% share the other delivery roles get, on units a client can buy.
Revenue Share
40% core share of the revenue from your delivered work. The units are monthly social channel management, Telegram placement waves, Telegram Ads management, and creator collaborations. Each one is sold to the client on its own, so payout stays traceable to what you delivered.
- 40% core revenue share
- Social and Telegram units
- Payout tied to delivered work
Profit Participation
20% of company profit distributed annually across the team. Unit-based allocation reflecting contribution, responsibility, and impact.
- 20% of distributable profit
- Unit-based allocation
- Annual bonus
Phantom Equity
For key contributors: long-term financial upside aligned with company growth. No shareholder complexity.

Common questions about social media manager jobs at Onlinuum
How the role works, what to expect, and how compensation is structured.
Do I have to do both social media management and Telegram placements?
The role is built as two equal halves, and the strongest candidates cover both. If you are strong in one half and still learning the other, apply anyway and say which one is yours. You will be matched first to the work you already do well, and the second half grows from there.
What exactly is Telegram media buying here?
Buying posts in other people's Telegram channels and chats for a client. The work runs in a fixed order: research candidates against the brief, verify each one on live data, send one consolidated request per channel network, buy a short test package, give every output its own placement ID and tagged link, adapt the post to each chat, get client approval, and report what each placement brought in. A catalog listing alone is never treated as proof that a channel is active or a good fit.
Who sends messages and pays for placements?
You draft the inquiries and the posts. Nothing goes to a supplier or into a chat until the text is approved, and the person who sends it records who sent it and when. Placement budgets are approved and paid by the client; you prepare the package, compare offers, and coordinate the publication.
What is the salary for a social media manager here?
There is no fixed social media manager salary. Earnings are the house 40% core share of the revenue your delivered units generate, unchanged from the other delivery roles. Monthly channel management, a Telegram placement wave, Telegram Ads management, and a creator collaboration are each sold to the client on their own, so the payout is traceable to what you shipped. On top of revenue share, 20% of company profit is distributed annually across the team.
Do you use AI tools in this role?
Yes, for the repetitive parts: bounded channel research, live data checks, first drafts of posts and inquiries, and updating the campaign workspace. You make the decisions. You review every channel before an inquiry, approve every text before it is sent, and own the judgment on what worked.
Which markets and languages are the priority?
Telegram work is strongest where Telegram is a primary channel, including Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking communities in Thailand, the UAE, Cyprus, Turkey, and Israel. Social media management runs in any market where we have clients. If you work in a language that is not on the list, write anyway and tell us which communities you know.
How does this role relate to the PPC specialist role?
Telegram Ads, the official ad platform inside Telegram, sits between the two roles and either can run it. Paid campaigns on Meta, TikTok, and other social networks stay with the paid social specialist. You decide which organic content deserves budget and brief that specialist; you do not need to be a media buyer on every ad platform.
